Supporting People is an established programme which administers government funding, commissions; contract manages and procures; improving support services which enable vulnerable people to live independent lives within the community.

You will join an excellent team (as rated by the Audit Commission), that administers Supporting People grant to 54 service providers, in over 85 services. You will provide support to the Business and Performance Manager and the Commissioning managers assisting with service development, contract and performance management and procurement; as well as doing specific pieces of work You will be able to work well within a team that has a varied and wide ranging portfolio.

You will have sound knowledge and experience of contracting, the principles of procurement and service development skills. You need to have project management experience and be able to communicate well both in written correspondence and also verbally through presentations and at meetings.

You must be able to work well under pressure and be able to respond to strict deadlines. You will have a can-do attitude and passion for service development for the betterment of Kensington and Chelsea’s residents that are vulnerable and in need of support.

This role is for someone that thrives in a challenging, but successful and exciting team, if you are that person then this is the job for you. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosure will be undertaken on the successful person before an appointment is confirmed.
