Working 36.5 hours per week. You should have experience in mentoring, supporting and developing newly qualified or less experienced staff and you will be expected to provide supervision and practice advice to support colleagues and Team Managers.
You must have substantial experience of working with complex children and families’ cases; able to demonstrate your understanding of practice in Child Protection, Court work and child care planning, and be able to work within new initiatives, legislation and Departmental Policies.
You need to have knowledge and understanding of current issues and challenges within children and families services; the ability to achieve positive outcomes for children within timescales, and effectively manage your time within competing demands. You must be registered with the General Social Care Council (GSCC).
