The Natural History Museum is one of the world’s leading museums, internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in scientific research and as a leader in the presentation of natural history through exhibitions, public programmes, publications and the web.
As Postdoctoral Research Assistant, Meteorites you will undertake a study of primitive achondrite meteorites to determine the physical properties of their formation and evolution through analysis of bulk and trace element chemistry, as well as mineralogy and petrology.
The successful candidate will be PhD qualified (or equivalent) and have knowledge and experience of basic determination of mineralogy/petrology, dissolving meteorites and using Laser Ablation ICP-MS technique.
