Mechanical Contract Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full time, 35 hours

Salary: £37,851- £40,506k (PO4)

Camden Council’s Housing Repairs & Improvements Division have 2 exciting opportunities for strong Contract Managers to focus on our mechanical assets and help drive forward our Mechanical & Electrical team in two distinct areas: district and individual heating.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Repairs & Improvements M&E Team, you will be responsible for contract management of day to day repairs, planned preventative maintenance and planned works. Working in partnership with contractors, suppliers and various teams, you will maintain and develop relationships, delivering best value service and improving resident satisfaction.

Role Requirements

We are looking for exceptional Mechanical Contract Managers who are experienced in delivering planned works and maintenance programmes. Working in a similar capacity, you will have experience of liaison with capital investment teams and a flexible approach to managing workstreams.

About You:

  • Knowledge of Contract Administration, Design & Specification, Legal & Regulatory Compliance, Health & Safety, Commercial Management and budget control
  • Proven experience of delivering responsive repairs and/or large mechanical planned works on time to high quality standards within budget
  • Relevant commercial ACS qualifications
  • Relevant domestic ACS qualifications
  • Resolve disputes within a construction environment, especially in relation to contractors and residents.
  • An understanding/appreciation of sustainability and its applications
  • Strong management skills coupled with both tact and diplomacy
  • Up to date knowledge of current gas industry legislation and requirements
