Gloucestershire Constabulary

“At Gloucestershire Constabulary, we’re striving to keep people safe from harm and to inspire the highest levels of confidence in us, their local police.

We aim to consistently deliver first class policing that meets the expectations and needs of both individuals and communities. Effective corporate communications both internally and externally are an essential element of this purpose and vision. In this influential, senior role, you’ll help deliver our message; locally, regionally and nationally".

As the driving force behind our Communications team, you’ll create and deliver a comprehensive communications strategy – advising, guiding, and inspiring all those you work with. Raising our profile and enhancing our image, you’ll be ahead of our latest developments, and innovative in your approach to communicating them.

Constantly thinking of ways we can improve, you’ll develop and promote effective systems, to keep our communication processes running smoothly. Particularly when it comes to major investigations and critical incidents. You will need to remain calm and focused in a highly pressured, time sensitive environment.

A confident manager with the proven ability to implement large-scale strategies, within equally large organisations, you’ll maintain strong relationships and networks between the force, and key partners. Devising and delivering ad campaigns and relevant publicity, you’ll make sure we’re talked about for all the right reasons.

A degree in Public Relations, Media, Communications or equivalent qualification is essential, together with an outstanding track record in delivering communication strategies within a large organisation.
